FANTASTIC LATINAMERICA: Gala Dress

Creation process in fashion design, at first takes different elementes of a general topic, and with the idea derived from it, borns a fashion collection. In this particular case, Fantastic Latinamerica is the inspiration for a Gala women collection, wich the specific topic originates in a latinamerican region (Icarito, Chile´s north) where the fantastic animal "El alicanto" is a tipical legend of their habitants.

Putting in context a particular usuary, is easier for the designer being objective and have critical eye for the final design result. Our usuary: a chilean woman, fantastic literature writer, who is nominated to the most important worldwide awards in her literary category "HUGO AWARDS" wants a dress that reflect her hobies, personality, culture and perfect for the ocassion.

Based on topic's aesthetics and the usuary requested funcionality,the fashion designer already has the standards to begin with the creative process, and the best way to organized all of the elements, creation most be guide by a Concept.

this concept communicates all the informacion abstracted in the dress in a implicit and explicit way. Summarizes and amplifies the story behind the creation of the piece. In this case, concept is "REVELATION: discovery or manifestation of something secret/ thing or person that stands up in a unexplectedly way". The final dress must represented this revelation by its deign elements like volume, volatile textures, transparencies letting aprecciate the inside parts of the clothes. Thi is how the design procces will be efficent, starting from and idea and becoming a design piece.
